A new “fleet modernization” bill is expected to be introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives this week, reviving interest in a new vehicle incentive to stimulate the economy while putting more fuel-efficient vehicles on the road.
Ford supports this legislative effort to stimulate consumer demand for autos as a win-win-win for the economy, the environment and energy independence. Sales in Germany and other world markets have been positively stimulated by fleet modernization incentives.
