Press Comments onthe 2015 Lincoln Navigator

During the Lincoln drive event back in September, the 2015 Navigator received some impressive feedback from the press. Here are a few of the comments:
  •  Lou Ann Hammond, Carlist.com:  "No question more power than the 2014; so much so one needs to be aware at light to prep for greater stopping distance.  The quietness over 2014 is quite noticeable. The true competitor for Navigator as I see it is not Escalade - the latter is for a more 'show-off crowd.'  The Navigator can take on the Lexus, which has had issues and the Infiniti.  I think it can help Lincoln make in-roads on the West Coast as a result and, for a vehicle which is not completely re-done and can still do that, is significant.  A very good execution."
  • David Goodspeed, Autoworld:  "Rear independent suspension remains a clear winner in the segment and the 3.5 is quiet and powerful with a push of the accelerator. Having driven the 3.5 in other vehicles, this is clearly tuned for what you are aiming at for the Navigator lux customer."
  • Jeff Yip, Houston Chronicle: "Great program overall and that 'power on demand' phrase is the perfect description for the Navigator.  Quiet in the engine, solitude in the cabin and just enough appointments inside to help you fit the vehicle into your product line."
  • Mark Phelan, Detroit Free Press:  "This isn't about showing a brand new vehicle; this is about making Navigator relevant as the brand continues to evolve.  The 2015 Navigator does that to go toe-to-toe with Escalade by providing best in class MPG, Towing and interior room.  The 3.5L is outstanding and this is the more than just a place holder for the next Navigator; it is statement of relevancy."
