Driving down memory lane
In the year 1922, today's Jaguar began as a Swallow sidecar, an initiative of Sir William Lyons. After a stint with the 'SS' motorcycle sidecars and automobiles for more than a decade, the then all-new SS 100 was set to be launched in 1935. That was when Sir William Lyons felt the need for an evocative name, and finally the brand Jaguar was born and the Jaguar SS 100 became the world's first Jaguar.

75 and going strong
